NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+
Synopsis: Sometimes, finding your destiny means doing the exact opposite of what The Fates have planned.

Winning the heart of an immortal assassin was a dream come true for Kristia Tostenson. Now she’s knee deep in wedding plans, goddess lessons, and stolen kisses. But her decision to become immortal could end in heartbreak -- not only for Kristia, but for the god who loves her. Because while Ull would do anything to protect his bride, even the God of Winter is powerless against the Norse apocalypse. Ragnarok is coming. And the gods aren’t even close to ready.

Review Snippets:

“If you're looking for a different take on New Adult that has plenty of swoon-worthy moments, some nail-biting action, and a mythological world you can lose yourself in, this book is for you.”

Character Interview ST:

ST: Hei hei, Lisa. The Elsker crew is a little tired of my traipsing them around, asking them questions. So they asked if they could turn the tables and interview me today. Is that okay with you?

Lisa: Of course!

ST: Okie dokie, here we go. Ull, Kristia, Inga, Gunnar -- why don’t y’all introduce yourselves?

Gunnar: I’m Gunnar. I’m the fun one.  *grins* I’m an Asgardian Assassin, Inga’s husband, Ull’s best mate, and Kristia’s biggest fan, since she finally managed to get the old curmudgeon to loosen up.

Ull: Hey. *grumbles* I am not a curmudgeon.

Inga: You’re a teensy bit curmodgeny Ull. *waves* I’m Inga, I’m Asgard’s unofficial Domestic Goddess, fight choreographer for Odin’s army, and Kristia’s BFF. *whispers* And I’m planning Kristia and Ull’s wedding!

Kristia: But you’re not going over the top with your planning, right Inga? Inga? *pokes Inga* Inga?

Inga: Me? Over the top? Never.

Kristia: Good. I’m Kristia. I’m the only human in the group -- except you, ST -- and I’m really hoping I don’t regret letting Inga plan my wedding.

Ull: And I am Ull. God of Winter. Semi-retired Assassin. Fiance of Kristia.

ST: Nice. Not curmudgeony at all, Ull.

Ull: Thank you.

Kristia: *pats Ull’s knee* I have the first question ST. Why do I have to have a flip phone and when are you going to let me get a smart phone? I’m really sick of having a dumb phone. Do you have any idea how long it takes to reply to Inga’s texts?

ST: *laughs* If y’all haven’t figured it out, I like to make fun of myself in my books. Kristia has a flip phone because I still have a flip phone. And I’ll write in your technological upgrade as soon as someone gets me to cave and get an iPhone. Which will probably be never. Sorry, Kristia. I’m as stubborn as Ull.

Ull: Hey… All right, just for that I will take the next question. Why must I always wear a tight sweater? And what is your fascination with church waffles?

ST: Ull, you have the body of a Norse god. Literally. What kind of writer would I be if I didn’t let our readers imagine you in body hugging cashmere? A really mean one, that’s what I’d be. And I’m not mean. So you embrace those tight sweaters, mister. As for the church waffles, they’re my absolute favorite food. The real Olaug introduced me to them at a Norse Seaman’s Church gathering, and I snagged the recipe. I’ve always got a fresh pitcher of batter in my fridge, so if you guys ever run low at Ydalir just swing by my place. I’ll hook you up.

Gunnar: So there’s a real Olaug. Is there a real Gunnar?

ST: Kind of. When Elsker came out a lot of people asked me which movie stars I’d pick to play you guys, and Kristia and Ull were easy enough -- y’all look just like Jennifer Lawrence and Alexander Skarsgard.

Kristia: Thanks, ST!

Ull: Is that why you are practically salivating over getting that poor man’s autograph in this picture?

ST: Hey, don’t judge me. It’s Alexander Skarsgard! But Gunnar, you're 'real' in a different way. I gave you the oldest name I could find on my family tree. It's definitely the coolest name on the tree, no offense to the plethora of Ingeborgs and Berthas the 'real' Gunnar was related to. I hope you like it.

Gunnar: *shrugs* It's okay, I guess.

Inga: I think it's perfect. Just like you baby. *kisses his cheek* OK, ST. My turn. I assume I get my love of baking from you?

ST: You sure do!

Inga: Better that than your crippling fear of sharks.

Kristia: Hey, I got that one!

Inga: Sorry, K. So ST. I know my best recipe. But what’s yours?

ST: Well, my Norsk waffle recipe is pretty fantastic. But my grandmother’s chocolate chip cookie recipe is even better.

Inga: Ooh, will you share it with me?

ST: Of course. *winks* Come on, we’ll head back to Ydalir. Y’all don’t mind letting me use your gorgeous kitchen for a while, do you?

Gunnar: Not as long as I get first crack at the cookies.

ST: Lisa? Care to join us? I’ll bake extra cookies for your readers if they leave a comment and tell me which actors they’d cast as Norse gods. I’m going to need to cast a few new characters for my next story, and I’d love their help! And those cookies are really good…

Lisa: Are you kidding me? I'm really looking forward to hanging out with everyone and seeing the famous Ydalir. Thanks for the invite, guys.

About the Author:

Before finding domestic bliss in suburbia, ST Bende lived in Manhattan Beach (became overly fond of Peet’s Coffee) and Europe… where she became overly fond of McVities cookies. Her love of Scandinavian culture and a very patient Norwegian teacher inspired the books of The Elsker Saga (TUR, ELSKER and ENDRE). She is an audio co-host of #NALitChat, and helps compile indie new releases for the USA Today HEA blog. She hopes her characters make you smile and that one day, pastries will be considered a health food.

Find ST on Twitter, her blog, or send her an e-mail. While you’re at it, introduce yourself to @UllMyhr -- when he’s not saving the cosmos from dark elves, he loves meeting new friends. Especially the human kind.
